Mandy Bissell South East
Mandy started her property career in 1996 in Prime Central London. Working in Lettings as a Manager and as a property developer in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, she gained a wealth of local knowledge and expertise. In 2003 Mandy moved to Hong Kong to run an international property investment desk gaining valuable experience in understanding client care and high standards of service.
On returning to the UK in 2006 Mandy embarked on her buying career working for a private client buying arm for an International estate agents then moving on to setting up her own buying agencies representing International and High Net Worth individuals in Prime Central London, South West London and the South East of England. Having lived in four countries before finally returning to her home County of Kent, Mandy fully understands all aspects of property acquisition whether it’s an investment purchase or moving from London to the country.
Mandy’s extensive experience and commitment to her clients and their requirements matched with her tenacious approach ensures a comprehensive and dedicated high level property search service.
In her spare time Mandy is a keen horse rider; skier and enjoys walking her dog.
Toby Ridge South East
Toby has extensive experience and an impressive network of contacts built up during his twenty years in property. He initially began his career as a negotiator in North London with a leading independent estate agent before being promoted to Premier Homes Manager, covering North London and Hertfordshire.
Despite a move away from property into recruitment Toby was infamous for finding properties for work colleagues, including a Director of the large financial recruitment agency he was working for. This ongoing involvement in property became the catalyst for his return to the world of property, seeing him establish his own relocation and property finding company in 2005, which he successfully grew before deciding to join Garrington to focus on the South East region.
Toby is qualified in project management and it is an area which he specialises in. He has an eye for potential, and is able to spot a diamond in the rough, great for those who are looking for investment properties.
Toby lives life to the full and in his spare time he enjoys road cycling and playing sport.
Jonathan Hopper Managing Director
Jonathan has an enviable track record of success spanning 20 years in the property and relocation industry. As Managing Director of Garrington, he leads a company that has represented numerous clients in multi-million pound transactions and in turn developed a respected industry profile, through the strategic growth of a market leading brand.
Jonathan is a Director on the Board of The Property Ombudsman, a Council Member of the UK’s Association of Relocation Professionals and is a former National Council Member of the NAEA.
He is frequently called upon as an authoritative voice for market insights with articles published in The Financial Times, Canary Wharf and City magazines, The Sunday Time and Bloomberg.
A past recipient of the ‘Best UK Property Finder’ award, he is continuously striving to hone his skills having completed leadership programmes at Cranfield Management School and an MBA at Ashcroft International Business School in Cambridge.
As a prominent creative thinker and entrepreneurial problem solver, Jonathan is passionate about working with clients, and enjoys exploring the driving forces that push successful businesses to their highest potential.
Nicholas Finn Executive Director
Nicholas Finn is London born and bred. With a property career spanning over a decade, he worked in prime London locations from St Johns Wood to Chiswick with one of the capital’s largest sales agents, before channelling his entrepreneurial flair into establishing his own estate agency in a sought-after part of London.
Prior to joining Garrington, Nicholas founded and ran an asset management company. It served corporate institutions and their private clients looking to sell, relocate or add to their portfolios. Nicholas leads and supports a growing team whilst using his experience and extensive contacts to generate exclusive opportunities for clients. He lives in London with his wife and young family.
John Adamson Executive Chairman
John has worked in the property sector for the last 25 years and has director level experience in residential sales, letting and management, estate management and development. Most recently he was Managing Director and majority shareholder of one of largest estate and letting agents in the Eastern region which he successfully sold to a FTSE 250 organisation.
He holds an MBA from The Open University and is a well-respected entrepreneurial leader with an eye for detail, who thrives on the creation of customer-focused companies, where success becomes a by-product of excellence.
Lynne West Operations Manager
Throughout her career Lynne has worked mainly in the areas of Office Management, Event Management and Customer Service. In this time she gained experience being a PA at board level, organising trade shows and heading up a customer service team.
After nearly 20 years working mainly in the Telecommunications industry, Lynne decided that it was time for a new challenge. In 2009 the opportunity arose to join the Garrington team in a key role as an Operations Manager. With a wealth of administrative experience coupled with extensive customer service skills, Lynne ensures that the operational side of Garrington runs smoothly and efficiently. As an important linchpin of the organisation, Lynne’s support to the management team and network of associates is invaluable.
When not at work, Lynne enjoys spending time with her family and is an active committee member of her son’s football and cricket clubs.
Amy Marshall Client Search Manager
Growing up in Somerset, Amy has always shown a keen interest in all things bricks and mortar. Curiosity resulted in a very hands-on approach to her parents’ property investment and development business throughout her school years. A career in property was a sure-fire for Amy: Starting with working for a commercial construction company in Bristol before taking some time outside of the UK to live and work in Spain. On returning to England, Amy moved to London to begin a career in the residential property market. Her initial role was as a lettings negotiator for a successful South West London estate agent. In time she migrated into residential sales, further broadening her knowledge of the property industry and London.
Amy now supports Nicholas with the day to day operations of the London business. It is her broad understanding of the industry and ability to recognise an individual’s requirements that ensures the right consultant is appointed to a clients’ search and that support is provided throughout the service.
Jennifer Chaplin Client Administrator
Jennifer has lived in a number of international locations before coming back to the UK to complete her higher education. This has shaped her love for diversity and adventure in life, and her desire to have a career that involves helping others. She has a keen passion for team work and is based in Garrington’s London office as the Client Administrator.
After graduating from The University of West London with a degree in psychology, Jennifer spent the next year gaining various administrative and customer service experience in different roles within the NHS and serviced offices, until finding her place in the property sector with Garrington.
Outside of work Jennifer enjoys exploring new places and trying different cuisines with her friends and family.
